 Quality Blog post challenge

Today at I decided to do Cybersmart Challenge #14. Cybersmart Challenge #14 was about helping John, John didn't yet  know how to make a Quality Blog Post, so I helped him make his blog a bit better. Since John didn't know how to make a quality post I told him how to make one. To make a quality blog you need a  Great Title you also need a brief explanation about what activity you are doing, you also need labels that are relevant to the topic. After helping out John he is now good at making Quality Blogs!

Today in TWP for math we did prototec. It is a site that gives you questions and you have to try and get the right answer, after you answer all of the  questions you then click mark and it will  check if you are right or wrong on your questions.

Swimming Who, What, When, Where, Why

During the last two weeks, St Pius X School’s classes took turns going to the YMCA Swim Magic Pools, to learn about water safety and how to swim.

At the start I felt cold and a bit disgusted because there was brown stuff on the ground and hair everywhere on the ground. The things I could already do in the water were Backstroke, float, freestyle/arm circles, streamline, dolphin kicks, breaststroke and enter safely. I hoped to get better at swimming

During our lessons we had to listen and keep our head above water when the instuctur was talking, we were learning how to be safe in water and in dangerous stiuations in water. The easy things were kicking and the hard things were breathing and staying underwater. The skills I enjoyed practicing were dolphin kicks and backstroke.

At the end I felt cold when we got out of the water because the water was nice and warm. My biggest challenge was doing backstroke. Compared to the start I am now confident in swimming. I will use these skills to stay safe in water.

Today in TWP we did a book review activity. We had to Write 3 parts in the book we liked and and a summary of the book with your favorite part.Then we had to write who we would recommend this book to and add a photo of what the cover of our book looks like.

Maraia - Group Deeper thinking

 Group Deeper thinking

 Today in TWP we had to write about out Native tree that we did last time, So I did a Kahikatea tree. We had to have interesting facts, its habitat, its threats and its food. We had to work in our groups that we did our tree with. 

The easiest part was the pictures.

The hardest part was adding the information.

Maraia - Cybersmart Challenge 13

 Cybersmart Challenge 13

Today at home after we came back from the Pools I remembered it is a Wednesday, and on a Wednesday a new Cybersmart Challenge comes out so I went to check the site I Cybersmart Challenge 13 was there and it was called "My Digital Footprint." For this activity we had to make a copy of the google drawing they had made then we had to read then instructions. The instructions said to go to our history (Ctrl + tab + H) and take a screenshot of the icons of the sites that we have been on. Then we had to use the foot prints and put them into a path and put the icons on top  of them leading up to the top.

Maraia - Spelling Puzzle No. 3

 Spelling Puzzle

Today after swimming we did some spelling. Today for spelling a activity called "Words Within Words." When we do this activity we have to use one of our spelling words like honour and then we have to write the our that we con spell with those letters like, our, hour, no and on. Then I did an other activity called "Puzzle Maker". When we do this activity we have to go online and go to a site called Puzzle Maker, First you choose what type of puzzle you want to make the use click on it and then you type the name of your puzzle and then you just have to write your words and click finish.
