Maraia - Ngā kare ā-roto me ngā āhau - Feelings and states

Ngā kare ā-roto me ngā āhau - Feelings and states.

WALT: express how we're feeling in te reo Māori
Today in TWP 4 we did some learning about Te Reo Maori Feelings and states.

For this activity we had to take a picture of ourselves and 5 other people and we had to say Kei te pehea koe and the had to respond with Kei tei (something) ahau.

After we put into  a google drawing we had to screencastify with their voices .  Doing the screencastify took over 10 tries because someone had forgotten their lines or they didn't know how to pronounce the word in maori but overall I think it turned out great-ish.

Check out my work and video!

The people who were in the video are Ana,Mele,Moala,Melenaite and Briana

Maraia - International Woman's day - 8th March 2021

 International Woman's day

On the 8th of march it was International Woman's day. In our class we did an activity to challenge the stereotype's and bias of both male and female roles within our society. We first had to get in a group of the same gender. We then wrote down the positives and challenges of the opposite gender.

After we came up with some ideas we then joined our groups with the opposite gender something we noticed was that the two list were very different. Women had more challenges. For example they were expected to clean the house and take care of the kids. On the other hand, males had more positive's for example they can get paid for playing certain sports that women can't.

We also said that a challenga for males is that they have to provide for the family and always have to be there

Something we learnt from this is that males and females aren't considered equal in lots of aspects of life

Here is the activity me and my group did

Time With Friends

On the 25 September 2019 around 4:00 pm my friend Stella picked me up from my house in Panmure  and we drove to her house.

The first thing I did when I got to Stella’s house

I went to sit on the couch because I was tired.

After sitting on the couch Stella gave me a tour

and told me about her chicken.

The next thing I went to the kitchen because smelt some pizza

then Stella came and had some pizza too, I thought she had

weird taste buds because she put mayo on the pizza I was gonna

try it but I didn’t.

After we had some pizza we went back to her room and her

room was my favorite because she had a bunch of cool

decorations like painting’s, block letters, purple coke for

holding books which was  pretty cool to me.

Later we went outside. We played with her chicken

and fed it and we also tried to get her sister’s bunny out

of her cage. I wanted to go first but Stella pushed me and

she scared him. I tried to get him but he was scared so we

played with a ball.

A few hours later we went to the Mission Bay playground.

We raced to the slide and we did a bunch of cool stuff on

the slide.

After sliding down the slide a bunch of times we went to

the swings then we got bored and we tried to build a hole in

the sand right next to the ocean but the water kept coming

in so we built some walls.

Then we went back to Stella’s house and had a shower and got

changed and then they drove me back to my house.

My story so far....

One day on this planet named krypton a child named Kent Clarkson was born, and the day he was born his planet was destroyed because on this planet there was a pond and this pond was special because this pond made babies and choose their future, which is why women never gave birth to babies on this planet.

Martha Clarkson the mother of Kent had no one who knew how to give because there hasn't been a Normal birth in thousands of years because of the special pond so his father had to help deliver the baby because he has heard of it before.
