Maraia - The brave Girl (so far)

This is my version of Sweet girl on Netflix. At the begging of writing this story I couldn't come up with anything and so I looked at some pictures and they reminded me of the movie "Sweet Girl"                          Oh and this is how much I have written  

The brave Girl

One day a there was a family of three The day was named Jay Mum named May and their daughters name was Raychel or Ray, and one day their mum was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer and the doctor said that there was no hope until a company named Biotech came a with a cure for cancer but when they ordered it Biotech took it off the market.

 The next day the news interviewed the owner or CEO of Biotech and asked why they took it off the market and they let some people called and give their opinions, Jay researched and found out that Biotech took it off the market for money, and so Jay called and said if that they better put the cure back on the market or Jay is going to kill him with his bare hands. .. May had left earth. 

Two years later Jay had been planning to kill the C.E.O of Biotech but then Jay received a phone call from an Unknown ID and he answered it and the unknown caller said that he had a way for Jay to get revenge on the C.E.O of Biotech Simon Keeley.

 

The Unknown man said to go down to the train station and to follow the guy with a furry denim jacket and so Jay followed him and then when the unknown person was showed him that he was a fraud then someone named Santos   stabbed him and then jay tried to fight back but Ray had followed him and the man took her a threw her to the doors of the trains and so Jay punch him in the face and stabbed him and then went to Ray but then the man got up and took the knife stabbed him and then pushed him through the window and then they both blacked out.

Two years later, Jay has been very serious about tracking Keeley's movements, and he notices that he is going to a very important party. Jay  finds the location, goes there and poses as a waiter to infiltrate BioPrime's charity event so he can find Keeley, ask him questions and then kill him. Once Jay finds him Keeley says he knows nothing and that the person who made them take it off the market is  BioPrime's chairman, Shamali Vin. After a fight that leaves one of Keeley's bodyguards dead and the rest brutally injured, Ray kills Keely by strangling him with a plastic bag, Then leaves knowing he is going to be hunted by many

Maraia - Stella's Birthday Party Recount

 Stella's Birthday Party Recount

On the 21st of July, It was my friend Stella's birthday and she had invited me to her birthday party and she said that she was going to pick me up at 10:30. So on the 21st of July, my mum woke me up but I was super tired because the night before I was on my mum’s phone and I totally lost track of time and when I checked the time it was 02:45 am, and so I got a bit worried because they were coming early so I watched one more video and then went to sleep. In the morning my mum woke me up at 8:00 and I was still tired so I crawled back into bed but then she caught me sleeping and she told me to go shower. She put shampoo and conditioner into my hair to make it nice and soft. After I showered and got changed and then I had breakfast, for my breakfast I had Milo and some crackers and then I got my hair done and I packed Stella’s gift. I got her a bag and in the bag, there was a bunch of sweets and candy along with an angry bird's pillow. After a few minutes Stella and her mum arrived and so I gave her a present and she said “thank you” and then she introduced me to her friend from G.I. School and her name was Ty.  After we had talked we drove down to a rock climbing center. When we got there we had to get our wristbands and then we had to take a little safety lesson and what to do before we climbed and after we climbed the walls. After about an hour we went into the playland and played tag for a long time. While we left the playland we noticed that we didn’t see the sign that said 8yrs and younger and we got a big shock. Then we went down to mission bay to an American store and it was old-school themed. It had Elvis and Marilyn Monroe. We all ordered Chocolate milkshakes with hotdogs. I could not finish mine so I ate most of it and when I had a little bit I shoved it in my mouth and then we left. Then we ran back to the car and went to the park and climbed trees while Stella’s Mum had a nap in her car. After around 30 minutes Stella's mum came and got us and then we spent the rest of the day at Stella’s house. First, we watched “Pitch Perfect 2” then we just played on the trampoline she had and her rollerblades. Then Stella’s Dad dropped me and Ty back at home.

Maraia - Green Ghana Current Events Term 2 2021

 Green Ghana 

Today in Literacy, we did another Current Events activity. This activity was called Green Ghana, Ghana is a place in Africa. We had to read the article and then answer some questions about the article. After we finished answering our questions, we had to do a little glossary. After we did the glossary we had to do the activity. This activity was fun the page would give us a sentence with one of the words missing and we had to find the missing word in the article and then we had t put it into there square and one of the squares in the line was orange. After we put all the words in, all the letters in the orange square from top to bottom formed a word and that was our answer.  The word I got was "Advantages."

Mr Akufo-Addo has promised to regulate the small-scale gold mining and timber industry. Once one area of land is exhausted, the miners move onto another. Few plants grow on the disturbed, or previously mined, land. Its soil can be easily. A land of lowland hills, Ghana has grasslands and rain forests. The country’s Lake Volta is the world’s largest reservoir, or man made lake. The dam that created the lake was completed in 1965. It has a large hydroelectric power plant. This produce electric power for most of the country.

This Article took place in Ghana. Ghana means warrior king, It can also get pretty hot, reaching about 30°C, or 86°F, on most days. Ghana thrives in the world of cocoa production.

Maraia - Tahuna Tōrea Mind Flow

Tahuna Torea Mind Flow 

WALT: allow our inner response to flow and be captured in words form. 

To day in TWP we did an activity about Tahuna Torea.

Before we started the activity we sat on the mat for about one of two minutes and closed our eyes and  think of what we did at Tahuna Torea.We  then had to write out moments of Awe, Wondering and a moment that stood out to me and our favorite Learning moment.  We basically had a flashback of what we did. This activity was very easy  and I don't think that anything was hard 

Maraia - Cousin's 3rd Birthday

 

My Cousin’s 3rd Birthday

 At my house on the 27th of January, it was my cousin Athalia’s 3rd birthday. She stayed the night and when she woke up everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to her.

After we sang “Happy Birthday” to her  we all had breakfast. We had eggs, bacon, french toast, pancakes, fruit salad and homemade whipped cream. In the middle of breakfast, my grandma came home with a  bunch of presents for Athalia but she came in quietly so Athalia wouldn't hear her. When Athalia left the room to go play with Boom (my dog) my grandma asked us to find some wrapping paper for Athalia’s presents but we couldn’t find any wrapping paper so my grandma just gave the presents to her. Her favourite presents was the giant bubbles and the Jenga. After she opened all of the presents, she asked Taniela to set up the giant bubbles. 

After she was done with the giant bubbles, Athalia’s mum called and told my mum that they had organised a party for her. She had planned the party, had picked an outfit, some shoes, a cake and some presents. When we got to the place where Athalia’s mum had planned the party my mum got the clothes from Athalia’s mum to dress her because they were running behind schedule .  

After a little while the adults took a bunch of photos of Athalia with her mum and dad while all of the kids were busy eating snacks.

After the adults were done with the photos the kids were able to eat. I ate my food I felt happy because I hadn’t eaten in what felt like 3 hours.

After everyone finished eating, Athalia opened her presents while the boys were playing with the balloons. Then we took all the balloons outside to the skate park across the road and let them go. 

After we let them go we all played in the skate park and then this guy asked us if he could skate over someone’s head. None of the adults let us sit there but then another guy sat down and let him jump over his head while on a scooter. 

After we let go of all the balloons go we went inside and ate some more food. When we finished eating the adults started to clean up while we were playing games.

After they finished cleaning everyone started to go home and as people were leaving my aunty gave them cake to take home. 

I had a great time at Athalia’s party and I was very happy to spend some time with my family.

Time With Friends

On the 25 September 2019 around 4:00 pm my friend Stella picked me up from my house in Panmure  and we drove to her house.

The first thing I did when I got to Stella’s house

I went to sit on the couch because I was tired.

After sitting on the couch Stella gave me a tour

and told me about her chicken.

The next thing I went to the kitchen because smelt some pizza

then Stella came and had some pizza too, I thought she had

weird taste buds because she put mayo on the pizza I was gonna

try it but I didn’t.

After we had some pizza we went back to her room and her

room was my favorite because she had a bunch of cool

decorations like painting’s, block letters, purple coke for

holding books which was  pretty cool to me.

Later we went outside. We played with her chicken

and fed it and we also tried to get her sister’s bunny out

of her cage. I wanted to go first but Stella pushed me and

she scared him. I tried to get him but he was scared so we

played with a ball.

A few hours later we went to the Mission Bay playground.

We raced to the slide and we did a bunch of cool stuff on

the slide. 

After sliding down the slide a bunch of times we went to

the swings then we got bored and we tried to build a hole in

the sand right next to the ocean but the water kept coming

in so we built some walls.

Then we went back to Stella’s house and had a shower and got

changed and then they drove me back to my house.           

labor day

 On labor day 

4th Monday of October 

I didn’t celebrate labor day because we had to bomb our house not literally bomb it like bomb it with bug spray.

First we had to wake up early to empty out our house and after we emptied out our house my uncle put a spray that sprayed for 5 hours by itself and then we went to McDonalds and ordered food i ordered and burger and pancakes and hot chocolate.

After eating McDonalds we went to Harvey Norman and got a blue moon lava lamp and a few drinks. After that we went to Toby's seafood and got some fish and chips and my aunty  made a mistake and made 20$ dollar extra chips instead of 2$ dollar extra.

Then we went home and vacuumed and put everything back in my house and watched TV.

A few hours later Taniela and Josaia came back from our cousins house and then we had pizza for dinner    

As I saw it - Kowhai seeds

Kōwhai seeds

Hi, I am a Kōwhai seed but I haven't been planted yet so i will tell you how i got from the forest to Saint pius X. 

I was just sitting on the ground like any normal seed not counting the ones underground, after a few moments I heard someone it sounded like A HUMAN!! I got scared because they bury us into the ground then we die then our corpse grows into something beautiful. I tried to run but It was too late. They  found me on the ground so they picked me up and put me in a  jar with a bunch of other seeds so I decided to  stop panicking and to get to know them. 

  

After I got to know them then put us on the ground and poured us on to a rock then he took the other seeds and then i thought he was gonna come back but he didn’t so i thought he expected me to grow on a rock so i stayed there for  241 years.  Then I saw an eagle and I started to jump then the eagle picked me up and dropped me on someone's head  and it was a guy who knew a lot of seeds but he didn’t know me so then he did research but he couldn’t find out what type of seed I was.

So then he gave me to the museum and they called me a kowhai seed then they gave me to a teacher to share with her kids and then a girl named maraia took me a wrote  a story about me                          

Shake out drill

 On the 15th of October at saint pius X at nine thirty my school participated in the shakeout drill around NZ you have to stop  everything and drop cover and hold.

After the earthquake a tsunami  might hit you,  so as soon as the earthquake is over head to high ground.
