 Math game and Short Questions

Today or math I did two activity's one was a Math game and the other one was a a few short questions. We were actually suppose to do 3 activity's but my teacher, Ms N-K said not to do the second activity because we couldn't really edit it I think. 

But the first activity took me 2 tries because I didn't understand it at first because It looked funny to me but soon I found out how to do it and it was very easy, the second activity was a tad hard because it sounded weird.

Yesterday, Granny had 12 cups and 10 matching saucers, but this morning she dropped a tray holding one third of the cups and half the saucers, breaking all of those on the tray.

How many of her cups are now without saucers - 3 cups are now without saucers 

Talulah plants 60 tulip bulbs. When they flower, she notes the following:

Half the tulips are yellow

One third of those which are not yellow are red

One quarter of those which are neither red nor yellow are pink

The remainder are white

What fraction of the tulips are white? I think 5 tulips are white 

(not a fraction because i didn't know how to write that)

 Why do Wolves howl at the Moon

Today for my Wonderopolis I learnt about "Why do wolves howl at the Moon".  The first wolf to be found I think was a gray Wolf, in Eurasia around the the early Pleistocene period about a million years ago. My favorite Wolf is the Northwestern Wolf and the reason I like it is because because of its colours and because it is also known as the  Mackenzie Valley wolf.

Elephant in the room is a part or chapter activity and basically we have to listen to a chapter and the answer some questions.  Who was James Baldwin

Today I did a wonderopolis activity and It was called who was James Baldwin. Wonderopolis is a site where you read a short article sort of and the there are some quizzes on the sides that you can do. I had to do the activity's on the sides and then 3 new facts I learnt along with the wonder words. Wonder words are words that the article highlights and when you hover over it with you mouse it will show you the meaning to that word.

Today just before class I did a read theory activity, to do Read theory activity's you basically read a small story and then next to it is about five questions and If you get most right you pass the test and if you get most wrong I think you fail the test but by your result it will tell you how much KP you earn and how close you are to get the next badge.

One thing that annoyed me is that when I searched up my name in Chinese but my name didn't exist. So I had to write it in Chinese!

Hello today we had an online awards assembly. So all the teacher picked a few students for different awards, as time passed it came to our class nd I got 2 awards and I was very happy because I thought I wouldn't get one. But I got one so I was happy but I didn't think it really mattered beause all I was excited about was my B-Day which is on Sunday so overall I was happy about getting 2 awards but at the same time I also didn't care.

Maraia - Adrift panda #2

 Adrift panda #2

Hi my name is Maraia and it may seem crazy that I live on a giant panda. Do you think that it is possible to live on such a big animal? I didn’t think it was possible but here I am living on a giant panda. If you ever wondered how we ended up living on such an animal, well I will tell you. 

Since my birthday was in lock down we really couldn’t celebrate it and my family knew I’ve always wanted to go to Tokyo but instead they took My mum, my Sister and I to china which was really really fun, On the second day of our trip we went into this exploration thingy of the woods and we saw some pandas and at the back we saw a giant Emperor's tower but no one else could so me and my sister went over then borders to check it out and turns out it was built on this giant panda so me and my sister went inside and we saw this button on the side that said small or large and we saw the small button and we shrank along with the temple and panda.

After that we went to tell our mother and she said we are delusional and then she saw it and we saw that the panda was a bit cranky so I shark it and gave it some bamboo and then we decided to live on it and we still live there to this day!

Maraia - Adrift Story

 

Adrift

On day there was a boy named Scott, Scott Mcall in Ulsteinvik, Norway, and in a level four lab where there is now a prison now called Alcatraz, some scientists managed to bring on of the largest dinosaurs, which was the Ankylosaurus and they put a serum that made him bigger than the alcatraz prison and the dinosaur swan all the way under Iceland. 

One day Scott and his father Adam Mcall  went sailing from the shores of Ulsteinvik to find a new piece of land and on the second night of their trip they lost their last paddle and they didn’t realise that they found a new piece of land and Scott named it after has grand father Faroe, Faroe Islands but what they didn't realise was that it was the Ankylosaurus that has escaped the lab. 

The next morning they realised that the island had moved but the Father thought that it was impossible until they traveled to where they put there bags and to their surprise they saw they Ankylosaurus head come up and start walking because they woke up Faroe because the accidentally pushed a rock as big as the rocks on Easter Island and for years it moved around the world only to come back to its original place and Faroe died and his shell broke and slowly drifted away, and a few years later more and more people came to different parts of the island and it becomes an actual place.

Fun Fact - Faroe islands actually exist

Today I was bored at night so I decided to do a Wonderopolis. A Wonderopolis is a site that has thousands of random wonder that people have agreed to be put on the site, and then the site add some fun little quizzes on the side and then highlights some words that they think some people won't get and that what the quizzes are for and then for us.

we do the activity's/quizzes read the story and write the words that the site thinks some people won't really pick up on and then add some pictures and blog our work.

Maraia - Fathers Day weekend

                          Fathers Day weekend 

For the fathers  day weekend we or my family didn't do anything because the only father was in Australia for because he moved there. But we had a a lot of food we had wraps station we had spaghetti and a salad with some chips and a lot of juice. 

Nearing the end of the day we called Taniela and Josaia's dad my cousins and we said Happy Fathers Day and then me and my sister plays some games and they we went to sleep after watching K-Drama's.

Maraia - No. 6 P.E activity

                           No. 6 P.E Activity

Today during the weekends of distance learning I did another P.E activity. This activity was very fun and I loved my new eye patch it wasn't really and eye patch but I can't see through one eye but I can see through the other which is kinda like an eye patch but yeah.

Overall this activity was very fun and hard but I think I did good. I think the activity was hard because I didn't really get anything on the box part only one shot went in but I was very close.

 What Defines a Continent?

Today in lass we had to find out what defines a continent and we were doing this for our work on Zealandia  I think. 

Zealandia is the the continent people only found out about Zealandia  last year. New Zealand is only 6% of Zealandia the rest of Zealandia is underwater. there used to be a lot of Zealandia  ave water but as time went on it went under water.

                               No. 5 P.E Activity

Today at night I did another P.E activity as you know from the title this was my 5th activity or sixth I don't really remember.

This activity was overall hard but on my second try I think I got the hand of it but I still massed up, but "We should not regret mistakes we must learn from them" a famous quote from the Ramon Buatista I don't know how to spell his/her's name but I thinks thats pretty close and I got that quote from my grandmother.

But this activity was also worth 4 points and this brings my total but to 18 points.

This activity was very fun and I did some practice round and I gave myself 3 shots at this but heck it out down Below

Maraia - No. 4 P.E activity

 No. 4 P.E activity

Today at exactly 06:20 I started this blog. This is a blog for my 4th P.E activity. If you saw my other blogs you would now that each P.E activity is worth a certain amount of points and this activity was worth 4 points, which now means I have 13 points but since I did this activity with a family member my sister I get extra point so I actually have 14 points (my sister didn't wanna be in the video) .

This activity was for me to tape up my dominant hand for a day and do some activity's I did a very familiar activity which was peeling a Banana, opening a milk box and last but not least tying up my shoe lace oh and the reason I didn't tape up my thumb because it is technically not a finger it is a digit.

I found this very easy mostly because I had my thumb.

Somethin I found hard was peeling the banana.

Today after doing some work I did another P.E activity. Actually the truth is I did this P.E activity 2 days ago I just didn't take the photo. But I did run for ten minutes an let me tell you that was thee longest 10 minutes of me life, and it was very exhausting.
